How We Do Small Groups

Harvest Small Groups are much more than mere Bible Studies which tend to be focused on simply gaining more knowledge about the Bible. Our Small Groups are about life-transformation which comes through application of God’s Word to our lives and doing life together. To encourage this type of community a Small Group will generally follow the layout below:

1) Opening Time

Gathering together

Opening prayer

Goal: Connect with one another and with the Lord

10-15 minutes

2) Study Time

Applicational Bible study

Discussion-based learning from God’s Word

Goal: Discover what the text means AND how it applies to my life

30-40 minutes

3) Mutual Ministry Time

Accountability and encouragement

Goal: To apply God’s Word to specific areas of my life

30-40 minutes

4) Fellowship Time

Informal fellowship and interaction

Continued mutual ministry

Goal: Building relationships with my brothers and sisters in Christ

20-30 minutes
